My philosophy is a little different.  A lot of attorneys tend to be short with people - rude, not just to the other side, but to their clients, co-workers and family.  Attorneys often suffer from substance abuse and high divorce rates.

I think that this is completely avoidable.  First, I don't think that a lawsuit is always the solution.  I listen to my clients enough to find out what they need - can their claim be handled behind the scenes first?  If they need to file suit, I can, but I like to consider all the possibilities first.

Second, I don't believe in taking cases that aren't legitimate.  There may be a number of reasons that I don't take a client, but if your charges are phony, don't bother calling me.

Third, I like to inform clients of the "free option", that is, ways they can handle their problems without paying for an attorney.  My clients usually never take the "free option", but I've found it makes for a more informed client.

Finally, I'm always willing to pray with any client about their problem.

I find it disturbing that many people wait until things are out of control before they call a lawyer.  Often, things are easily solved in the beginning when a lawyer is involved.  Hopefully, I can assist you, your business, or your organization.
